Hello,
I’m looking for some good cowboy or westerns book suggestions for my grandpa.
He just got diagnosed with dementia and his doctors told him to start reading to stimulate his mind.
I’ve never seen him read but he loves old westerns and cowboy movies and I figured he should read about things he likes.
I’m also open to other genre suggestions.

Shane and Monte Walsh by Jack Schaeffer are really good.
Older folks in the library I work in also like the Louis L’Amour books.
Lonesome Dove is supposed to be good. I bought it the other day.
Elmore Leonard’s westerns are great
