Hello! I recently finished 'Born to Be Hanged: The Epic Story of the Gentlemen Pirates Who Raided the South Seas, Rescued a Princess, and Stole a Fortune' by Keith Thompson.
It was my first historical non-fiction book and I really enjoyed the story telling Thompson was able to produce from just the journals and knowledge of the time.
Does anyone have any recommendations for historical non-fiction that is story based and not just factual based. I would also be open to any great historical fictions! I already have some more about pirates I would like to read so other time periods would be great! I do for sure need some war/action to keep me interested though.
