Hi all! Life is hard and I'm looking for lighthearted, silly sci fi to escape into. I'm reading Will Save the Galaxy for Food by Yahtzee Croshaw right now, and want more like it! I'm open to silly, fast paced, easy reading of any genre, but sci fi tends to be my favorite. Relatively low stakes is a bonus, but it doesn't have to be fully cozy genre. I'm generally not a fan of truly absurdist writing either, where things seem to happen randomly. I'm excited to hear what y'all suggest!

Hitchhiker’s Guide, if you haven’t read it yet
“The Practice Effect” by David Brin. It’s Science Fiction, but due to the premise, it kind of reads like Fantasy. The MC and his team build a device that provides portal access to a neighboring universe where the physical laws are just a tiny bit different. It’s one of the best books I’ve read over the years.
