I’m really having difficulty finding a romance novel that I like. I feel like I compare all the romance I read to literary fiction (which I read a lot for my classes). Really looking for a romance novel with depth, and complex character flaws. Maybe a book that is similar to a literary fiction book but is mainly focused around a romance.
I really enjoyed the romance in Sarah J Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses if this gives you any insight, but I don’t want to confine myself to romantasy. I like the idea of a rom-com but I have yet to read any that I have rated above 3 stars.
