I know this may be kind of a weird request but please don’t judge me.
I’m having some issues with my non-existent relationship with my father right now so I’m looking for some books where an older man kind of “adopts” /plays a father figure for a younger woman/teenage girl and the book focuses on developing this relationship either as a main or a side plot.
I’m thinking something similar to the dynamic of these relationships: Joel and Ellie in TLOU, Sam and Dean with Bobby in Supernatural, Tony and Peter or Clint and Kate in the MCU or Geralt and Ciri in the Witcher.
Genre doesn’t really matter but I do prefer fantasy, paranormal or sci-fi books.
I’ve tried googling but only very few come up and most of them have some kind of sexual/romantic relationship going on and this is not something I’m looking for, so please no recommendations with this kind of dynamic.
