Hi everyone,
As a kid I loved R.L. Stine his Goosebumps books, among Dutch writers like Paul van Loon who wrote horror for kids. As I grew older I lost interest in reading, until about half a year back. I found a book that actually interested me, something that I hadn’t had in years. The book was ‘The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy’ for those who are interested.
Anyways, I remember owning a Goosebumps book with 10 short stories written in it. I found it on the attic a while back, which made me think about this question. Now I am older (24 y/o male) I still very much like horror in many shapes and forms. I am looking for collections of horror short stories, whether it’s body horror or ghosts, as long as it’s considered ‘worth it’ and scary/creepy, I’m all ears!
I enjoy reading H.P. Lovecraft from time to time, but please don’t limit yourself to only Lovecraftian recommendations! Whether your recommendation is a bundle of stories from the same author or different ones, I really don’t care 🙂
I appreciate your time, thank you!

If you are looking specifically for ghosts, there’s this anthology: [Three Sheets to the Wind](https://www.amazon.com/-/es/Dean-Wesley-Smith-ebook/dp/B0CGW46GL8/).
If you’d like to try a body-horror novel someday go for [The Troop](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17571466-the-troop?ac=1&from_search=true&qid=Smg36Dd5Sk&rank=1), by Nick Cutter.
I recommend Brandon Faircloth books. He also has a Reddit r/verastahl where he is always releasing new stories. He has more traditional books like the outsiders (horror/dark fantasy adventure) and my uncle makes dolls in hell (horror/dark comedy). But his other books are collections of short stories based all in the same large universe. What I like about them is very often the protagonist of his short stories lose. The monster and horrors usually win. Also slowly making all the in universe connections is interesting.
