About to take a very long car trip with my parents. Would like to have one or two suggestions for easy to follow audiobooks for entertainment along the way.
If this was 15 years ago I’d have recommended stuff like, “The Da Vinci Code” to myself in this situation.
Nothing too gory, nothing too embarrassing to listen to with one’s parents.
Thanks!

I love everything by Anne Tyler. Perfectly age appropriate for everyone in your car. Her books are whimsical and fun. They feature quirky people in quirky families. The Accidental Tourist is one of her more famous. Perhaps when you arrive at your destination you all can watch the movie they made of the book. Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant is another goodie. Well…they are all goodies.
It’s not shallow but Remarkably Bright Creatures is a great audio book. Not too heavy, very enjoyable.
You might also like Andy Weir. The Martian and Project Hail Mary are great audio books that are light yet satisfying.
Does your family like The Princess Bride? If so, please listen to As You Wish. You will not regret it.
