For some reason my first thought was Daughter Of The Deep by Rick Riordan

      Fiction:

      The Maid by Nita Prose

      House Rules by Jodi Picoult

      NF:

      Born on A Blue Day

      Non-Fiction:

Emergence: Labeled Autistic by Temple Grandin would probably be considered a classic by many.

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simmison (may have spelled that wrong) is a good one, and it’s the first in a trilogy.

I’ve seen people online be extremely offended by it, but my real-life human friends who have aspberger’s or are parenting kids on the spectrum loved it.

It’s hilarious, and the MC is an unreliable narrator with a pretty big blind spot where it comes to his neurodivergence (among other things, lol). But at the same time, Don functions in the world. He has as many adventures as he has misadventures, is loved, likes himself, is content with the life he has built for himself, and manages to succeed professionally and – after some bumps in the road – socially.
