I haven’t read a single book for years since probably 6-7th grade. That’s also why my vocabulary diminished and my ability to think and memory stuff. I heard reading is like magic, helps the brain(?).
I’d like some suggestions of good books genres: Mystery, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror (preferably), Historical too.
I plan to read daily for 15-20 minutes at least.
Thank you!!

The chronicles of Elantra by Michelle Sagara
Terra Invictus. It’s a modern day science fiction fantasy. It begins pre-dystopian as the world and society begins to collapse. It is heavy on conspiracy, war, pandemic, Roman Republic Lore, mythology, fallen angels, extraterrestrials and survival. It follows 2 POVs. A Jack who is an American from Texas and Valentia who is a Romacarth of Roman ancestry who lives in Nova Roma. Book came out earlier this year on printed copy and Ebook but the audiobook just came out.
