I just finished The Devil in Silver by Victor Lavalle and I’m desperate for more genre fiction with realistic characters set on a psych ward. I love dark humor so something like Asylum by Patrick McGrath is one of my faves, but I also love stuff that’s heart wrenching like this or Jenni Fagan’s Panopticon. Thanks in advance, love this sub.
