I don’t know if what I’m looking for exists. I’ve been looking for a perfect autumnal read.
I like a plot that hooks me in and it can be spooky, but not so scary that it’s completely gory/horror/fantasy. I like the idea of cozy mysteries BUT I don’t like romance, YA or predictabile plots.
Cozy. Autumn. Spooky. Not too gory.
The closest match so far was Riley Sager’s Home Before Dark. I can’t remember if there was a minor romance plot. But I liked the spooky house in wooded Vermont vibe!
